WHAT TRAINING DO PERFORM THERAPISTS HAVE?

All Perform therapists have been trained to the highest level through our Perform Mentorship Programme which has been developed through decades of research in the fields of Movement, Health and Wellbeing.

All our Perform therapists hold degrees or higher in their respective disciplines and undergo regular continual professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in Movement, Health and Wellbeing.

At Perform we have developed specific systems which each one of our therapist has been trained in.  Our systems allow us to find and treat the  “root cause” of your problems, and not just your symptoms.  Meaning that your pains and problems do not just return.

All our therapists understand that the mind and body are integrally connected, and this is why we treat you the person, not the “diagnosis”.   Perform offers you a group of Health Experts who all liaise giving you the confidence that you are receiving nothing less than an elite level service.

This is very much dependent on your individual circumstances, with regards your pain tolerance and previous experience from therapy treatment.  Some times soft tissue mobilisations, may offer some short lived discomfort, in order for us to gain some change to your those tissues that are offering protective tension.  Most people explain this as “nice pain”, as they can feel their tissues changing, and the pain they came in with slowly easing away.  All our therapists have been trained to work at the level that you require to get maximum change and benefits to your tissues and pain experience.

From years of experience reminding our Perform systems, we have come to learn that to get a permanent change in a tissue efficiency and effectively, sometimes a therapy technique is required which can cause some level of pain or discomfort.  However you can rest assured that your Perform Therapist will always liaise with you to work at a tissue depth which is comfortable and tolerable for you.

Our systems allow us to find your “root cause” of your problems, so in doing so we treat any condition or injury.  We put you at the heart of everything we do, so we listen clearly to your unique story and presentation, allowing us to make sense of your symptoms.

Between all our therapists we have literally treated thousands of patients with various complex movement dysfunctions, and health and wellbeing presentations.  So you are in safe hands with any one of our Perform specialists.

If you feel you  have an extremely complex case and would like to send us details of your history or presentation prior to your treatment session, then please feel free to email us with any details you have.  Our therapists will be more than happy to research into your current symptoms or problems prior to your initial assessment.

A Perform initial assessment will last approximately one hour in duration, and your subsequent follow up treatments will last approximately 45 minutes usually.

If we require more time, we will always discuss this with you and arrange appropriately.

Yes!  Our Perform Systems are developed around an assess, test, treat and re-test model.  This framework allows us to treat your “root” problem, and make sure that your body has positively adapted during every session.

We then build on from exposing your body to higher loads, building tolerance and robustness, making sure your symptoms do not return.

All Perform Therapists have been through our in-house Mentorship Programme and are continually supported to stay up to date with the latest advances in Movement, Health and Wellbeing.

Continual learning and staying current is at that forefront of what we do, and this is why you will receive only the highest level of service no matter which therapist you see at Perform.

This will all depend on your specific situation with regards your symptoms, the underlying cause, and your specific goals, which we refer to as your “end destination”

Following your assessment your Perform specialist will be able to give you clear direction on how many sessions will be appropriate to get you to reach your end destination, whether that be simply being out of pain performing general daily tasks, or maybe it is being able to run a marathon symptom free.

At Perform our Motto is “Live Well, Feel Well, Perform Well”, and that is exactly what all our therapists are trained to do….. make you “ Live Well, Feel Well, and Perform Well” day to day.

We use a whole body approach to allow you to maximise your potential in everything Movement, Health and Wellbeing.  So maybe you want to be able to sleep better, or maybe you want to increase your concentration at work, or find your purpose in life.  Whatever it may be that you want to achieve, we have experts in the fields of Health and Wellbeing which can help you in your path to success.
